Design Your Shower

What Do You Actually Get to Choose?

Everything you see and touch. Fourteen wall colours, all held in stock. Two stocked fixture finishes and one special order. Three shower fixtures. A recessed niche, corner shelves, or both. Three knurled grab bars wherever you want them. And three door options, including no door at all. This page lists all of it in one place.

The 14 Wall Colours

All fourteen are held in stock and restocked in a day, so your colour is not the thing that decides your start date. Sheets are 4 ft × 9 ft, floor to ceiling — no horizontal seam, one barely-visible vertical seam on the back wall, and no grout anywhere.

We have deliberately not put swatch images here. There is no photograph of these fourteen colours in the asset set, and a rendered approximation of a marble finish is exactly the kind of picture that gets a colour chosen and then regretted. Finishes and Fixtures

  • Brushed nickel — stocked
  • Matte black — stocked
  • Champagne bronze — a special order, not a stocked finish. It moves the start out to seven days at most.
  • The finish carries across the valve trim, the door hardware and the grab bars, so the room matches rather than nearly matches
  • Showerhead — the standard fixture
  • Rain head — overhead, fixed
  • Rain head with a handheld on a slide bar — the one most people are glad of afterwards
  • Shower sizes stocked from 60 × 30 through 60 × 36

Storage, Bars and the Base

  • A recessed niche

Set into the wall between the studs. Size and position are settled at the design visit, because framing decides what is possible — and a niche built badly is one of the more common ways a shower wall leaks.

  • Corner shelves

Fixed to the panel face. No framing to work around, and they can go where you actually reach rather than where a stud allows.

  • Three knurled grab bars

In your chosen stocked finish, with a knurled texture rather than a smooth one. Blocking is set behind the wall at the design visit so each bar anchors into timber, not into board.

  • The base

A Harbor Series low-threshold pan — the standard spec, in white. It is moulded in one piece, so there are no grout lines in the floor at all, and the texture is moulded into the surface rather than coated over the top of it. And the step-over is gone. We do not quote a slip rating for it, because no test report exists.

The door: three options, and none of them costs you the others

This is a real choice, not a ladder. Tell us which you want and that is what gets fitted.

  • Semi-frameless bypass sliding doors

The stocked option. Two panels that slide past each other on a track, in the same finishes as your fixtures. Nothing to order in, so it does not move your start date.

  • A custom glass enclosure

For openings a stock door will not suit — an unusual width, a corner entry, a fixed panel and a swinging door. Measured for your bathroom and ordered to those measurements.

  • No door at all

Doorless, if that is what you want. A wider opening to walk through, a longer wall run, and no track or glass to clean. Plenty of homeowners choose this on purpose.

Which one suits your bathroom depends on the opening, where the shower head points and how much of the room you want to keep open. We work that out with you at the design visit — and if you want to read up on the glass itself first, we wrote about shower door glass here.

Where the Choices Land

  • Clean sealed seam where two wall panels meet One sealed vertical seam, no grout lines.
  • Grab bar anchored into blocking behind the wall Grab bar into blocking set at the design visit.
  • Finished shower valve trim fitted flush to the wall Valve trim in the finish you picked.
